About IS Plumbing

Our story

Craftsmanship you can see on paper

IS Plumbing is built on a simple idea: do the work right, pull the proper permits, and treat every home like your own. Our team has spent years handling everything from quick fixture swaps to complete multi-family plumbing, gas and heating systems across Eastern Massachusetts.

Whether it's a high-efficiency boiler in West Roxbury, a tankless heater in Needham, or a full two-family remodel in Brookline — the same hands, the same standards, the same accountability.

• Honest, upfront quotes — no surprises at the end.
• Permitted & inspected work, every time.
• Clean job sites and respect for your home.

Ilgiz Shaikhov is the Master Plumber and CTO behind IS Plumbing, and the licensed professional whose Massachusetts Master Plumber License #17137 stands behind every permit we pull. (The state record lists his name as “Ilgiz Shaikov” — you can verify the license on the Massachusetts eLicensing portal, issued by the Board of State Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters.) He leads the work in the field and the standards in the office — from sizing a high-efficiency condensing boiler, to running gas piping to code, to signing off that a job is ready for inspection.

As a licensed master plumber and gas fitter, Ilgiz has handled the full range of residential and commercial work across Eastern Massachusetts — water heaters and tankless conversions, sewer and drain repairs, repiping, and complete plumbing, gas and heating systems for single- and multi-family homes. His approach is simple and consistent: diagnose honestly, quote upfront, pull the proper permits, and leave the job clean and inspected.

He also keeps IS Plumbing current on the things that actually save homeowners money — including what Mass Save still rebates (heat pump water heaters and heat pumps, plus 0% HEAT Loans) and what it no longer does (gas and oil boilers since 2025) — so the recommendation you get is the one that's genuinely right for your home, not just the easiest install.

When you call IS Plumbing, you're working with a licensed master plumber — not a dispatcher handing your home off to a stranger. That accountability is the whole point.
